Nevin has been with Midvale Country Club since 2012. Originally from Pennsylvania, he got his start in golf course maintenance working summers at 2 local courses. He received his Bachelors Degree in Turfgrass Maintenance from Penn State University in 2008. While at Penn State he helped maintain labs for the Soil Diagnostics Department and completed his internship at Lancaster Country Club, in Lancaster PA. After college he accepted an Assistant Superintendent position at Lancaster Country Club. During his 5 year tenure, Lancaster was awarded the 2015 Women's US Open. In preparation for the tournament, the club underwent an extensive renovation including a complete greens reconstruction in 2011. Nevin accepted the Assistant Superintendent position at Midvale in the Spring of 2012 and took over for retiring Superintendent, Rick Christie, in 2014. Since then Midvale has completed numerous course improvement projects, including a full bunker renovation in 2022. Nevin lives in Fairport with his wife Marisa, daughter Carly, and dog RJ. He spends his free time hanging out with his family and cycling.
